I tried one as an experiment, then bought three more to make up a reasonable set. The adjustable jaw allows this relatively small clamp to be used for 'thicknesses' which would normally require a much larger and clumsier spring clamp. Only extended use will show whether the friction which holds the adjustable jaw in place will suffer.
